About this course
Body Lab Grades 3 to 5 is a 12-week science course about how the human body works. Kids move from cells to whole systems: the skeleton, muscles, heart and blood, lungs, digestion, brain and nerves, the senses and the body's defenders. Each week has short daily lessons, quick checks that give a hint before the answer, hands-on models and a Body Lab Day with the family. Every week is free.
Kids will
- Explain how cells, tissues, organs and systems fit together
- Describe how bones, joints and muscle pairs make movement
- Measure pulse and breathing and graph how exercise changes them
- Trace the path of food and of blood through the body
- Explain how the brain, nerves and senses take in information
- Plan a healthy day that supports every body system
